The picture above is Emma DeSilva, a Sydney mom who, along with her 19 day old daughter, was hit by a car that drove on to a curb nine weeks ago. Her daughter had minor injuries (protected by her pram) - but Emma went into a coma. Her husband took Baby Eloise to the hospital each day and would lie her on Emma's chest, because he felt they would bond, regardless of Emma's state.
The news reported yesterday that on Mother's Day, Emma woke up after being in a coma for 9 weeks.
